Want to practise taking photos of couples? This portrait photography workshop features 2 great models, who are also a married couple. They will pose for you together and individually so you can try out a wide variety of images. To make it even more interesting, we are going to be doing this outdoors at night in Norwich city centre! It will provide an opportunity for some atmospheric images and for you to make good use of your flash.
Ann-marie is a professional model and winner of 2014 Mrs East Anglia Galaxy. She is married to Greg, who is a musician. Not only will you have these 2 fabulous models to work with, Joe Lenton will also be giving guidance regarding technique and composition. Joe is an international award-winning professional photographer who specialises in outdoor portraits. He will help you get the most out of your evening and ensure that you have the chance to hone your skills.

For a night portrait workshop, it is very helpful to have equipment that is well suited to those conditions. Ideally, you will have a DSLR with a fast portrait lens (e.g. 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8 or a 2.8 zoom such as a 24-70mm) and a flashgun. You may also like to bring triggers if you have them to fire your flash remotely. Joe will have Nikon flashguns (speedlights) available on the night and a remote trigger that you can borrow if you don’t have your own. If you have any queries about equipment suitability or if you are at all concerned as to whether the workshop would suit your skill level please do get in touch and Joe will be happy to advise you.
After our 2 hour workshop, we will be going for coffee together in a nearby cafe. The cost of a tea/coffee is included in the workshop fee. There are various parking possibilities in the area. If you are unsure about parking, please do get in touch. You will normally need to pay for your parking in Norwich, but there are some really good late evening deals available.
This is definitely a portrait workshop not to be missed! Places are strictly limited to 6 participants to ensure that everyone gets quality time with the tutor and taking images with our models. So, book early to make sure you don’t miss out.
