Do you enjoy photographing landscapes? Our long exposure landscape photography session at Cromer is a great opportunity to try different techniques and set your creativity free. With expert tuition from a professional photography tutor whose long exposures of the Norfolk coast have earned him numerous Gold Awards in international photography competitions you can build your confidence and create images to be proud of. You will understand how to control the appearance of water in your landscape photos. Joe will share valuable tips on how to compose an image for maximum impact. The iconic Cromer Pier will serve as a beautiful backdrop to our photos and we will also be hoping for a good sunset to top it all off.
Some of Joe’s Gold winning images:
Long exposure landscape photography is a genre that has become very popular in recent years. Often people worry about trying it out because of the cost of buying filters. However, with the dropping light levels in the evening this won’t be a problem. So you don’t need to have your own filters to take part (although do bring them if you already have some). There will also be the opportunity to try working with filters that you can borrow on the day. Joe will give advice on getting good value for money if you do decide you want to buy filters after trying them. Be warned – it can become addictive!
You will need to bring your camera and a tripod if you have one. There is a limited number of tripods available to borrow but please make sure to book one in advance if you need it. Your camera needs to allow you to control the settings manually – shutter speed, aperture and ISO. So, it should have an “M” (manual) mode available. A shutter release cable is recommended but not essential. These can be bought cheaply online. It is also wise to bring the eyepiece cover with you if you have one. Lenses are up to you but normally landscape photography is done with fairly wide angle lenses. If you have any doubts about the suitability of your equipment please do ask before booking.
We will be limiting numbers to keep a very small group to enable a quality experience and space to socially distance as needed. Pre-booking essential.
