Beach Fashion Photography Workshop with Anna Petrova
Learn how to shoot & edit beach fashion photos. This year our beach fashion photography workshop returns to the Norfolk coast. We will be at a new venue with a new model. The timing has also changed to evening to give us a chance of shooting in the (hopefully!) wonderful light of golden hour. Our model is Anna Petrova (also known online as Anna Kamikaze). Images from the initial test shoot with Anna turned out so well that they have been accepted for magazine publication. She is a stunning model with plenty of experience so you are sure to get some good pictures. (Please note that Anna’s portfolio contains nudity. We will not be shooting nude images on this workshop). Your tutor is multiple international-award-winning professional photographer Joe Lenton.
You will need some prior experience taking portraits to get the most out of this beach fashion photography workshop. We will be looking at using natural light and also combining natural light with flash. The lighting conditions at the beach are often very difficult. So, we will be looking at ways to overcome problems and create great images. This is an ideal opportunity to learn how to control light in a complex, outdoor environment.
You will need to bring your own camera and lens(es) to work with. We recommend that you bring a polarising filter if you have one. Lights, light stands, modifiers and diffusers will be provided. Triggers fit most standard cameras with a hotshoe fitting on top (Nikon, Canon, etc).
Also included in the price of the beach fashion photography workshop is attendance at a Webinar on using Photoshop to edit beach fashion images. Following on from the workshop, you will be able to meet live with Joe online to get tips for editing your images. The webinar will enable you to see in real time how to perform high quality skin retouching and other editing functions. We will arrange the date at a time that suits as many participants as possible. If you miss the live webinar it may be possible to watch a recording at a later date (subject to availability).
