Light Trails & Cityscapes at Night in Norwich
Light trails & cityscapes are a fun type of photography to try when the evenings are darker. Discover how to create your own night cityscapes with light trails in this workshop based in the centre of Norwich. Don’t let your camera go unused in the dark evenings, come and try night photography! This is an ideal winter alternative to landscape photography and will add something new to your portfolio. For the more advanced photographers there is also the option of trying creating light trails by panning your camera with a slow shutter speed. This isn’t an easy technique but can produce interesting results (see the picture of the taxi below as an example).
Â
You will need a camera that allows you to set aperture, shutter speed and ISO manually (has “M” / manual mode). A tripod is essential to stabilise your camera. If you don’t have one, please let us know when booking and we may be able to lend you a spare for the evening. Wideangle or ultrawide lenses tend to be most effective as with landscape photography. However, you may wish to try with other lenses. If you are not sure if your kit is suitable or you have any questions about the degree of difficulty please contact us before booking.
We only run our light trails & cityscapes workshops a few times a year so don’t miss out. As always, we keep to small groups to ensure a good (and safe) experience for everyone. This session is limited to just 4 participants.
