Fashion Photography Workshop

Hone your skills and boost your portfolio on this stylish fashion photography workshop. We will be based on location at an old farmhouse in Norfolk where we will be shooting both indoors and outdoors. We will be using natural light and flash. Our model for this fashion photography workshop is professional model Ann-marie. She is current Mrs East Anglia Galaxy and has been published many times. Her impressive modelling CV includes household names such as Nuts, Big Brother, FHM and many more. She will have a variety of looks throughout the day with hair styling provided by professional hair stylist Angela Barnes.

Inside the farmhouse we will be using the wood panelled dining room with its feature fireplace. This will be a great opportunity to try portraits using window light. It will also enable you to get experience balancing light in darker interiors. We will also use the living room, which has various period features and forms a lovely contrast to the dining room. Outdoors we will be using the small area of woodland along with various outbuildings as well as the exterior of the main house.

Your tutor for this fashion photography workshop is multiple international award-winning professional photographer Joe Lenton. Joe specialises in location photography and has an Associateship in outdoor portrait photography with the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers. He is an experienced tutor and enjoys helping others to learn and explore their creativity.

The workshop suits those who have more advanced camera skills or professionals who wish to build on their existing portfolio. You will need to be familiar with controlling aperture, shutter speed and ISO in a variety of settings. Experience of flash is helpful but not necessary. We will look at the use of on-camera flash, off-camera flash with modifiers and reflectors. If you have your own flashgun (speedlight) then please do bring that with you. We suggest that you have lenses capable of both wider and telephoto ranges to enable you to make the most of the indoor and outdoor environments. You will need a DSLR, CSC or similar camera body. If you require further advice on equipment, please do contact us.

The fashion photography workshop costs just £99. The fee includes lunch with home-made cakes and local produce. If you require accommodation, please contact College Farm Bed & Breakfast. To reserve your place, please book using the form below.
