Beach Fashion Photography Workshop
Beach fashion photography can produce some truly glamorous and exciting imagery. However, how do you balance ambient natural light with flash to get great results? In this workshop we will look at using various techniques to help us get some beautiful beach fashion images. We will see how useful even the most basic diffusers can be on location. You will learn to expose for the background separately from the exposure for the model. This is a step up from your average portrait photography. It would not be suitable for beginners.
Although we will have flash equipment available on the night, you might like to bring your own to practise with that. If so, please bring flash and triggers. You may also bring a reflector if you wish. Circular polarising filters may be of use depending on the weather. More experienced photographers may also like to bring graduated ND filters to help darken down the sky. Some of our equipment is capable of HSS flash but only with Nikon systems. You do not need to be a Nikon user to benefit from this workshop.
If you have any doubts about the suitability of your kit and/or skill level please do contact us before booking. As a Focussed Professional Training session it is suitable for experienced amateurs and professional photographers looking to add beach fashion photography to their portfolio. Places are limited. Parking is by Pay & Display in Overstrand so please bring suitable cash. Accessibility note: there is a steep slope from the car park down to the beach, so please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues.
This will be a fun evening making the most of the golden hour light (hopefully!) to create some memorable images. Should the weather prove unfavourable we may need to reschedule accordingly.
Bookings are closed for this event.
