Sometimes finding the right texture for a composite can be difficult. You may have photographed lots of textures and have a good library of files to choose from. But, perhaps you don’t have access to old papers or canvases to create expensive-looking studio backdrops. Using just a few simple tools you can create texture layers using Photoshop. By using blend modes to mix several colour and patter layers you can create your own antique papers or canvases. Adding a border or a vignette is not difficult either.
