How to Process Fog Pictures in Lightroom
Fog isn’t the easiest of weather for photographers. However, it does offer great opportunities for creating something atmospheric (see earlier post “use the fog!”). As with all photographs, fog pictures require careful processing to bring out the best in them. In this post we look at a few tips to help you process fog pictures in Lightroom. In the video, I show you ways of bringing back detail and creating a split-tone vintage look. We see how quick and easy it can be to achieve something interesting in Lightroom without even needing to go into Photoshop. The specialist Dehaze slider can prove to be particularly useful – in fact, this may be one of the main applications for it!

To summarise:
To process fog pictures in Lightroom consider ways of boosting the blacks (e.g. contrast, clarity, blacks, shadows)
Try the Dehaze slider but avoid over-doing it
See what it looks like in black & white
Use split toning effects to create a vintage look
